How to shave without irritation.
1. Prepare your skin for contact with the razor
To make your hair more receptive to the razor, exfoliate dead skin and lift the hairs – take a warm bath or shower (this will help soften the hair and open the pores), and use a gentle exfoliator with a pH level adapted to your intimate area (4.3–4.5).
2. Provide the blade with good glide
Apply shaving cream with aloe, glycerin, shea butter or allantoin – soothing ingredients. Rinse the blade after each stroke, do not shave against the grain and do not press the razor against the body.
3. Close your pores, dry your body
To close your pores after shaving, take a cooler shower from the waist down – this will minimize the risk of irritation. Then reach for a soft towel and dry your intimate areas: “pat” it gently into your body, collecting the water.
4. Cover your skin while its protective barrier regenerates
The most effective oil will be one containing oils with fatty acids (e.g. hemp), moisturizing substances (e.g. aloe vera), occlusive substances (e.g. jojoba oil) and anti-inflammatory substances (e.g. marigold extract).
5. Let your skin breathe
After shaving and applying oil , wear airy and/or loose underwear, preferably 100% cotton. The lack of synthetic additives will provide air circulation and softness to the body.
