INTIMACY WORKSHOPS – A. Szeżyńska
"Intimacy Workshops" is a book in which the author grabs the reader by the hand from the very first page. And leads them until the last chapter. As she writes: "I know about sexuality. You know about your sexuality. Let's go on a journey together for your answers."
Szeżyńska's book is not only a compilation of clear facts from the field of psychology and sex, but above all a training for feelings. The author has assigned workshop exercises to each chapter, allowing you to translate the acquired knowledge into your own experiences, fears and desires.
Szeżyńska does not impose any standards, does not describe any emotions as more or less adequate, "normal" or "atypical". On the contrary - she shows how complex sexuality can be and how each of us can try to get something out of it for ourselves.
SEXOLOGISTS. SECRETS OF THE OFFICES – M. Szarejko
We would like to know everything about sex. The problem is that sometimes we are afraid to ask, and other times we have no idea who to direct our questions to.
Do you remember that childhood game where we would peek through a keyhole at what was happening on the other side of the door? When we think of Marta Szarejko's book, this is the first comparison that comes to mind. The difference is that today we are adults, and what we see through the keyhole are the deeply hidden secrets of Polish women.
"Sexologists" is a collection of interviews with female sexologists on the sometimes surprising and sometimes shocking aspects of our sexuality. Using the knowledge and experiences of her interviewees, Szarejko examines masturbation, rape in marriage, betrayal in an open relationship, sex after fifty, and sex in people with disabilities.
This book is worth reading critically, however, because the chapter on transgender and intersex, among other things, sparked a lot of discussion, and although it was changed in the reprint, the statements it contains still arouse some controversy.
#SEXEDPL. ANJA RUBIK'S TALKS ABOUT MATURING AND SEX, A. Rubik
You've probably heard about this book more than once. The publication of Anja Rubik's interviews was preceded by a widely commented campaign featuring recognizable faces – Monika Brodka, Maffashion and Maciej Stuhr, and the book's premiere was accompanied by workshops and educational meetings for young people.
"#sexedpl" is a book dedicated to young readers. Those who are on familiar terms with their bodies and those who are timidly trying to make their first discoveries.
In conversations with educators, therapists, doctors and activists, Anja Rubik answers the most pressing questions of adolescence. So it's about how often to changetampons and what to prepare for when dating online. About the shapes and sizes of penises, the appearance of the hymen and different methods of contraception. It's substantive, yet direct and without beating around the bush. In our opinion, this is probably how young people would like to talk to us about sex.
LIFT UP THE SKIRT. SEXUAL EXPERIENCES AND POWER OF WOMEN, V. Ilnicka
"This book is an invitation to a female circle and sisterhood in practice. You will learn from it what your mother or friend would probably never tell you. And what is really worth knowing, because then life becomes easier" - this is how Voca Ilnicka, an activist and propagator of sexual education, writes about her latest work devoted to women's sexuality.
This is not another book with lots of big words and empty content. It is a handbook for women, girls, mothers, wives and singles that tells us that femininity is difficult but beautiful at the same time.
The book is honest; thanks to many statements from other women - authentic, and at the same time wise, surprising and written with a bang. The author interviewed hundreds of women, looking for answers to questions that bother most of us. And she found them - hidden under many often very extreme opinions, giving room to show our individuality and diverse needs.
WELCOME TO THE CLUB, Mr. Pomaska for Your KAYA
At the end of the list, it's time for our piece of the cake. "Welcome to the club" - the cherry among the books about puberty available on the publishing market. Because menstruation is talked about quite a lot, but only in connection with other topics. Pushing aside the importance of menstrual blood in the process of building the identity of young girls.
The Ofeminin website wrote about this book: "The times of the first period for many of us are long behind us. However, we have girls in our environment who are still waiting for it - they ask, look for information or, on the contrary, they are silent and anxiously await this "big" day. The book "Welcome to the Club" came to the rescue, introducing young girls to the world of menstruation in an accessible and ordinary, girlish way."
“Welcome to the Club” is a must-read not only for teenagers, but also for their parents. It introduces the world of adults in an accessible way, without avoiding difficult and often embarrassing topics.
