The main tasks of intimate hygiene fluid
The main task of an intimate hygiene fluid or gel is – as the name suggests – the hygiene of the intimate areas, i.e. the external part of the perineum .
The purpose of intimate hygiene fluid is to gently and thoroughly cleanse the perineum and its surroundings, as well as to provide a feeling of freshness, an appropriate level of moisture and support intimate health (for example during treating infections ).
Intimate hygiene fluid composition
Intimate hygiene fluids often contain soothing substances such as chamomile, panthenol, aloe or sage. If they do not contain irritating ingredients, they can be successfully used even by people with sensitive skin .

Intimate hygiene fluid for washing hair – where did the idea come from?
The idea of washing your hair (or more precisely: washing your hair) was probably born from a quite logical argument: "if something is good for my vagina, it will certainly be good (and equally gentle!) for my hair . "
And it's really hard to argue with that! :) Intimate hygiene fluid, as long as it has a good (i.e. mild and safe) composition, is a pretty good idea for clean, smooth and - most importantly - unburdened hair . Like most bathroom solutions, it has its drawbacks. More on that in a moment.
Benefits of using intimate hygiene fluid on your hair
Composition, composition and once again: composition. A good intimate hygiene fluid will wash not only the hair very gently, but also the scalp, which - like the skin on the face - is susceptible to irritation and dryness. This will prepare the hair for the next stages of care : applying a conditioner or mask.
An additional advantage of this solution is the reduction of the number of products that burden your bathroom shelf. By using one liquid for several areas, you naturally reduce your baggage – literally and figuratively. You don't have to bother yourself with choosing a shampoo while shopping at the drugstore, and in the event of a trip, you take care of your care in one go (read: one bottle!).
Disadvantages of using intimate hygiene fluid as shampoo
Washing with intimate hygiene fluid, especially on long hair, may seem a bit difficult at first. Untrained hands may need a larger amount of fluid to be able to massage it well into the scalp.
Here, however, the problem lies more in our expectation of a feeling of cleansing – when we rinse the impressive foam from our hair, it seems to us that both the hair and the scalp have been thoroughly cleansed.
Meanwhile, it is not foam that determines the quality of washing. It is rather the washing substances in the product, its precise distribution on the scalp and the use of warm water (at a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius, not more) that determine it.
However, if the intimate hygiene fluid does not convince you as an everyday shampoo, you can consider using it alternately with your favorite product .
Conclusions?
If you've never tried washing your hair with an intimate hygiene fluid , I encourage you to check this out. I first tried this method in the hospital, where I had a cosmetic bag equipped with just a few basic products. I also washed my face and body with the intimate hygiene fluid - and it worked great in every role. I recommend it!
